There’s nothing more special than spending a day immersed in creativity—whether it’s in the brushstrokes of a painting or the textures of a well-curated outfit.
My recent visit to the Columbus Museum of Art, followed by an elegant dinner at Del Mar at Easton, was the perfect mix of inspiration, style & indulgence. If you’re looking for a slow, thoughtful luxury kind of day in Columbus, this itinerary is one to bookmark.
Morning at the Columbus Museum of Art
I can’t quite place it, but there’s something enchanting about wandering through an art museum in an outfit that feels just as artful. For me, it was a flowing floral appliqué skirt paired with a suede vest (very boho chic and on trend for spring 2025) soft, romantic, yet grounded with vintage charm. It felt like stepping into another era, where every piece of art tells a story & every outfit carries a little bit of history.
First things first, we had to stop at the café! A Thai tea latte for me and a burger for my husband, because, according to him, you can’t fully appreciate art on an empty stomach.
Fueled and ready to explore, we headed straight to Dawn to Dusk by Louise Nevelson, an exhibit that felt especially personal to me since I share a similar Jewish ancestry with the artist. Her work explores memory & identity in such a moving way, and seeing it in person was incredible. I felt so lucky that we got to see this exhibit by chance, I did not know it was here, but it truly made the day extra meaningful.

Of course, I had to visit my favorite - the stunning Chihuly glass sculpture - before exploring the rest of the museum. There’s something about the way light filters through its colorful, organic forms that always leaves me mesmerized. The Columbus Museum of Art is such a hidden gem, blending classic & modern pieces with interactive exhibits that make art feel truly alive. If you haven’t been, this is your sign to go.

Tips for Visiting CMOA:
• Best Time to Go: Late morning to early afternoon is ideal. The museum tends to be quieter, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the art without the crowds.
• Parking: The easiest option is the lot behind the museum, which is convenient and inexpensive. If you’re looking for free parking, there are some metered spots along Broad Street that are free on Sundays.
• Admission: General admission is free on Sundays, making it the perfect weekend outing. Otherwise, tickets are $18 for adults, with discounts for students & seniors.
• Café & Gift Shop: The Schokko Café is an unexpected delight for a light lunch or coffee break. Don’t skip the museum gift shop either! It has a beautiful selection of art books, jewelry and locally made pieces.
Dinner - Del Mar at Easton
After a day of art, inspiration, and a quick outfit change, dinner at Del Mar was the perfect way to unwind. This Mediterranean-boho space is a dream -woven textures, soft neutral tones and warm candlelight set the perfect mood for an elegant yet relaxed evening. If you’ve been to their Naples, Florida location, you already know the coastal charm they bring to every detail. I recently visited their Naples location (check out the vlog on my YouTube channel) and it was incredible! I had to run here as soon as patio season started again in Ohio.
This outfit felt so fitting for the vibe. Continuing the boho chic aesthetic from this morning (but with a more sophisticated twist for dinner) - a neutral knit top with delicate detailing, cinched at the waist with a slim leather belt, paired with a flowing chocolate brown satin maxi skirt. Soft, understated, and timeless, with a subtle nod to Mediterranean earthiness.
The food was exquisite. We started with the golden beet salad and mushroom flatbread, both bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. For my entrée, I had the snapper—perfectly cooked and layered with blistered tomatoes, artichoke, roasted garlic, eggplant and a bright cilantro pesto. My husband had the 8 oz filet, seasoned with za’atar and served with chili lemon broccolini and rosemary potatoes. We ended the night with a blueberry tart and the most decadent Turkish mocha torte, paired with a glass of non-alcoholic wine and a refreshing mocktail for me, and an NA beer for him.
There’s something about a meal like this that feels like an escape! I felt like I was being transported to a seaside retreat, even in the middle of Ohio.
Tips for Dining at Del Mar at Easton:
• Best Time to Go: Reservations are highly recommended, especially for weekend dinners. The ambiance is best enjoyed during golden hour or in the evening when the warm lighting makes everything feel extra cozy.
• Parking: Valet is the way to go at Easton, especially if you’re wearing heels or planning a relaxed evening. However, if you prefer free parking, there are open lots a short walk away.
• What to Order: Their seafood dishes are exceptional, but even if you’re not a seafood lover, the steaks and vegetable-forward dishes are just as delicious.
• Dress Code: The atmosphere is effortlessly elegant, so I’d recommend elevated casual—something chic and timeless that makes you feel your best.
